There are only a few months left until Expo 2020, and Dubai is already building a promising future.

It will be the first Universal Exposition in a Middle Eastern Country and there will be plenty of surprises.

The Expo will take place from 1st October 2020 to 31st March 2022 and will involve over 180 nations. It is also estimated that 25 million visitors will be attending, 70% of whom will not be from the UAE.

From the logo to the smallest details, everything has been thought out and organized.

The logo was inspired by an ancient gold ring that is over 6,000 years old (recently found during archaeological excavations in the Saruq Al Hadid desert, between Dubai and Abu Dhabi) made up of many concentric circles that join together to form a central ring. Symbol of peoples’ unity and continuity between the present and the future.

“Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. This is much more than just a theme, but a real mission, that the Universal Exhibition wishes to recall the spirit of collaboration among developers and innovators. There are three main pavilions that focus on Sustainability, Mobility, and Opportunities. They are surrounded by smaller pavilions, named after the participating countries, that share the same concept.

SUSTAINABILITY

The main pavilion of sustainability will feature a large solar panel that will give the Expo its energy support. This is the fundamental principle of sustainability, continuing progress without compromising the lives and needs of future generations.

Half of the electricity used during the event will be entirely generated through renewable sources.

MOBILITY

The Mobility Pavilion aims to create new and more efficient connections between people, communities and countries and exploring new frontiers.

The main feature is a 330-meter track that runs underground and outdoors.

OPPORTUNITY

The purpose of this pavilion is to show individuals and communities that they can make a difference, the opportunity pavilion shows visitors that small changes can lead to big changes and inspire others to do the same.

On 14th February, Aspectus had the opportunity to participate in the opening premiere of the Earth pavilion, the main pavilion dedicated to sustainability.

The Expo exhibition will be showcased in a new exhibition center, spread out over an area of over 400 hectares, the Dubai Trade Center-Jebel Ali, located in the area adjacent to the new Al Maktoum International Airport.

To capitalize on this important global event, Aspectus decided to purchase properties in that area, allowing its clientele to invest in a new part of Dubai that will become very important and will enjoy healthy future growth.

A key aim of the event is to bring ideas from around the world to create a modern and sustainable future.

Those ideas should simplify and improve life.

What will happen after Expo? It’s hard to predict the future precisely.
The rumor has it that almost 80% of the structures may be transformed as a cutting-edge university research center, equipped with a conference center, museums, exhibition spaces, as well as technologically advanced services for students and researchers “which will be called the District 2020.“

There will be many surprises and innovations for this Expo that will leave everyone speechless.

Aspectus will be at the forefront to keep you update with all the exciting news of this highly anticipated event.
